Yes, I am a geek and I have just downloaded the full economic report of the President.  I’m just starting to work through it, but on page three there is an interesting quote that about made me fall off the couch.  Understand this was written by the GW administration…

“The actions taken by my Administration in response to the financial crisis have laid the groundwork for a return to economic growth and job creation, and they are beginning to show some early results.  A measure of stability has returned to the financial system.  There will, of course, continue to be challenges.”

I’ve been a little behind in reading the newspaper, but I don’t recall any recent headlines in the FT or WSJ that include economic growth or job creation.  I guess the last sentence is accurate…there will definitely ‘continue to be challenges’.
