Boulder to London

During my time in Colorado, I was turned on to this great website (www.steepandcheap.com) that I am still addicted to.  While they ship to the UK, the shipping and customs charges are often greater than the value of the product so it is not really feasible for me to pick up great bargains on outdoor wear.  Friday was an exception though.  It was late in the afternoon and I was waiting around for people to finish a few things up before heading out to the pub.  I was poking around a few of my favourite sites and saw that they had a great pair of Oakley sunglasses on sale at steep and cheap.  Since I got rid of my US credit card and don’t have a US address, I had to call my brother to buy them for me.  I’m sure he loved the phone call that went something like this.

Jim - “Tom?”

Me - “Yeah, are you at your computer?  Log onto steep and cheap and buy the sunglasses and bring them over when you come”

Jim - “Don’t you have the internet over there?”

Tom - “Yeah, but I don’t have a credit card or shipping address”

Jim - “Damn you…I’m on it”

Tom - “Thanks, let’s catch up later this weekend, I’m off to the pub”
