I am admittedly a total slacker when it comes to taking care of things like making sure I register for an absentee ballot from abroad. Lucky for me, Barack Obama’s campaign is putting forth an extra effort to make sure I vote. Melisse and I were walking through a very popular tourist area in London yesterday when we came across an individual holding a sign looking for Americans to vote from abroad. She was a campaign worker for Barack Obama and provided all the information I need to cast my vote in this year’s election. We spoke with her for a few minutes, grabbed one of her fliers, and registered on the website when we returned home. The website is www.votefromabroad.org and has all the information you need to request a state mail in ballot as well as a federal emergency write in ballot in case you missed your state’s deadline. Very good information, there is still time left, and I’m looking forward to casting my vote for Obama this week!
