Saturday morning run

July 11th, 2009 · No Comments

Melisse is out of town in Paris this weekend, so I took the opportunity to get up and head out for a run.  I did about 4.5 miles in 40 minutes.  It was a beautiful morning and there weren’t too many people out…always my favorite.  For some reason, Nike has updated the website that I track my runs on and it has caused a date/time sync problem.  Today’s run shows up as June 1st 2000?  I’ll have to figure out how to get that resolved…

This week was pretty chill.  The workload wasn’t too bad and I got to the gym several times to resume the workout plan I was on before I left for NY in May.  I was telling someone this week that often my favorite 10 minutes of the day are right after my workout when I’m walking over to the office.  It’s probably that the blood is pumping and I’ve already accomplished something for the day, whatever the reason…I feel good.

That’s about all that’s going on this side of the pond.  My buddy Kyle is coming over today to hang out for the weekend.  We’ll probably just enjoy catching up in the pub for several hours before heading out to find a steak somewhere.  It’s cool that he’s able to drop in pretty often.  Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention…Melisse and I were on a waiting list for a 7 day sailing trip in Turkey.  The club decided to get another boat so we’re headed to Turkey in October!  I can’t wait.

Hope everyone is doing well and having a great weekend!
