I made it back to London this morning and it feels like being home. Over the past 7 days, I’ve visited the place I grew up (Spokane), the place I lived for the longest consecutive period since leaving for college (Ft. Collins), and the town I lived in right before moving abroad (Boulder). Of all the places, Boulder felt the most comfortable, but touching down in London this morning felt like being home. It might just be that I was missing my own bed, overwhelmed by how spread out everything is in the states, or simply new that Melisse would be back tomorrow and I’d get to see her after being apart for the past two weeks. Whatever the reason, I made it back to the flat, took a shower and a nap and have settled down in front of a football match. I’m definitely ordering Indian food tonight to celebrate being home!
The trip was quick and I don’t feel like I really got to spend all the time I wanted to with anyone. I guess I should get used to it since it will be difficult to spend enough time in the states to see everyone for the amount of time I’d like to. On the way back I read a book titled ‘Enough’ by John Bogle. The book was recommended by a blog I follow, but I’m not sure I’d give it the same high review. In concept the book was good, but most of the information could have been covered in 10 to 20 pages. Overall, the message was, when do you have ‘Enough’ as it applies to money, business and life and what does it mean for individuals/society when we can’t seem to get ‘Enough’ of the things that don’t really matter.
I hope everyone had a Happy Easter and was able to enjoy a few days off and spend some time with friends or family!

I think it shows an enormous level of personal growth to feel at home in a foreign country. I know the happy feeling of knowing that Melisse will be sharing your space soon - we had the delight of her company while you were visiting friends and family. She’s a treasure of which there will never be “enough.” :>
