When we woke up yesterday, the weather was abosolutely gorgeous.  It was one of those sunny, crisp days with not a cloud in the sky.  We drank our coffee, had some breakfast and then headed out for a run.  The run was longer than we’ve done in a long time (8 miles), but the pace was good, the park was beautiful and we both felt great when we got back to the house.

8-mile

After the run we hung out for a bit around home and then went to the store for some provisions for the day.  Melisse made these incredible cream cheese, smoked salmon, tomoto and rocket (arugala) sandwiches on toasted bread for lunch and seared tuna steak with grilledvegetables for dinner.  With her cooking ability, we’re never wanting for good food.  I got to watch two FA Cup football matches while she finished a book that she’s been reading.  Overall, a wonderful day.

I’m off to Bahrain now, but will be back on early Wednesday AM.  Wish me luck!
